radio as a means of getting the community involved as to
address the immediate issue of impoverishment bearing in mind
our main objective which is education to build a better nation. We as PASA have done our research and looked into the fact that most NGO`s have nursed poverty by only giving food, clothes and blankets that of which factually speaking a family that is assisted with the above mentioned is still left in a position of wanting more, given that that family is given an education or a member of that family and in two to three years time that leaves this family in a position of being able to sustain themselves and educating one another thus alleviation of poverty and not the nursing of poverty for social grants do not guarantee sustenance of that family in the next few years to come. We are advocating for education as a means of poverty alleviation though we are not advocating to the eradication of the social grant for it provides / gives a balance as to poverty alleviation by nourishment of the under-privileged and impoverished consequently dressing them thus providing a semi comfort zone in a menta-physical way |
